"I love drawing, animation, video games, food, Japan and colors, and nothing makes me more happy than when I combine those."
As a fan of both Disney movies and Hayao Miyazaki movies, Sophie is inspired quite a bit to create beautiful illustrations and the proof is most definitely in the pudding. In this enchanting series, she re-created 14 Disney gal pals with the most precious details, they look like darling dolls.
When she began the journey on this series she started with Belle, saying: "I think she's my favorite Disney princess, and I felt like drawing her. I may do other princesses in the future, 'cause it's so much fun!" Indeed, she did more princesses in the future, and each one was totally fabulous.
Many of the Princesses are wearing their less famous outfits, a trend inspired by her first illustration in the series. As huge Disney fans, we particularly enjoy seeing out of the ordinary renditions of our beloved characters... it's so much fun!

Disney is more than an international corporation and global entertainment force to be reckoned with. Disney is practically a culture in and of itself, something that has touched the hearts and lives of countless (literally countless) people of all ages for decades.
Still, there is a never-ending stream of things new and old to learn about Disney. Honestly, the fact that we could never truly "know it all," is just another reason to obsess over Disney as much as we already do, and then some.
Did you know the actor who gave Mickey Mouse his voice for more than 30 years was married to the actress who voiced Minnie? Wayne Allwine (Mickey) and Russi Taylor (Minnie) met in a hallway when Taylor was on her way to work on the 1988 TV special Totally Minnie and they were married for nearly 20 years (until Allwine passed away in 2009.)
It would seem that in many tangible and immaterial ways, Disney has inspired love... even with their own employees! Honestly, that's pretty wholesome, and it's definitely not the only romance that has spawned from people who met working for Disney in some capacity.

We just can't get enough Disney in our lives, and the easiest way to fill that hole is with amazing fan art, like the art of Sophie Hei!
