Gatherings are always a delight, but occasionally, a wild card crashes the party and turns the atmosphere upside down. This was precisely the case for our narrator (Original Poster)—a 30-year-old man caught in the crossfire between his beloved younger brother and his insufferable sister-in-law.

Imagine every horror story about a nightmare sister-in-law rolled into one—that was her. Disrespectful, attention-seeking, and drama-inducing, she was the living embodiment of chaos.

To keep the peace, drastic measures were taken. The brother was banned from family events if his wife was tagging along, and even his birthday celebrations were a no-go if she was on the guest list. 

Naturally, this didn't sit well with him. He argued that they were making his wife feel unwanted, but the truth was, she did a fantastic job of that herself.

OP’s younger brother got married to a lady nobody liked. His brother was banned from family events due to her unpleasant character.

OP’s parents lifted the ban on his brother after his wife gave birth to twins due to the need to be in their grandkids lives. However, OP felt it did not matter because his SIL wouldn't allow her kids around anyone.
