An individual of Hispanic descent is one whose mother tongue is Spanish. In Hispanic households, gender roles differ from family to family.

In accordance with traditional gender norms, men are expected to work to support their families, while women are expected to stay at home and take care of the house and kids. The original poster of today's story is half-white and half-Hispanic, and has been married to her husband for over a decade.

Her son and husband were getting ready as usual one day when the OP reminded her husband about some leftovers that he had expressed a desire to take for lunch. The man told the OP to pack it up for him and also add a piece of chicken, which she did.

Guess what happens next? The OP's husband asked her if she took the bones out of the chicken for him.

Redditors believed that either the OP's husband was getting these ideas from somewhere or he already had some ideas in that direction and was getting validation from somewhere. Either way, this is a very strange request to ask of someone.
