Is this the worst place in the world for the deaf? Here a deaf bride plans her wedding so that the majority of her guests would be deaf.
Wedding planning can be stressful enough without having to deal with other people's preferences, and opinions that you didn't request. It was recently made public that this couple had planned to get married using sign language.
When it came to her mother's attention, she had a different perspective. This 24-year-old female Reddit member is deaf.
And according to her profile, she has had bilateral cochlear implants since she was a kid. Nevertheless, her mother forced her to attend a public school, which she described as mainstream.
Hence she didn't know the deaf community or how to use sign language because of the lack of exposure at her school. Isn't this bad enough?
However, despite her parents' opposition, she learned ASL and was enrolled in a deaf school. And she felt more comfortable and welcomed in her skin as a result of this.
Also, she met her spouse in school. OP said she has a tremendous degree of love for his family although he is deaf.
That deaf people have always been the victims of cruel treatment from others is heartbreaking enough. Adding insult to injury, some children aren't given the love and affection they deserve from their families.
Just like the mother in this story, who has been far from being a pillar of strength to her daughter. It's demoralizing and the majority of them are mocked and ostracized.

If there's anyone in the world who should be by a child's side, it's a mother. You've got to have a large heart to invite her to your wedding, even though she treated you badly.

Everyone surely dreamed about their special day when they were small. The day they'll walk down the aisle and take their vows.
If you’re a girl and deaf, there're several things that you might have dreamed of doing on this special day. One of them is using sign language to exchange vows.
Others may include getting married to your special one with sign language interpreters by your side.
Dont-trust-itDeaf girls won’t just remember what they desire at that stage of their lives. They'll cherish it for the rest of their lives.
So if doing a deaf wedding where you'd invite deaf people and incorporate sign language is your desire. You shouldn't allow anyone to make you do otherwise.
The wedding is for the bride and groom! It's just for one day but you'll remember it for the rest of your life.
Therefore, make sure it's filled with memories you'd want to remember forever regardless of what anyone thinks!
