21 Celebrity Pairs That Played Family Members On-Screen But Ended Up Dating Behind The Scenes
Kind of weird, but if it works, it works!

In Hollywood, it's not really a surprising nor a weird thing for two actors who play a romantic couple or love interests to each other to fall in love in real life. Many people even dig that kind of trope, as it just makes the whole project more exciting, given that the actors fell in love through the course of it.
Plenty of cases are scattered all over Hollywood wherein celebs always seem to date their co-stars. Some relationships have already ended, but plenty of these actor pairings actually had their happily ever after and have been in bliss ever since they tied the knot.
Let's face it, as an actor, it's not that quite hard nor surprising to fall in love with someone you keep kissing and cuddling on screen. Take Blake Lively, for instance, before he tied the knot with Ryan Reynolds, she once fell in love with Penn Badgley while working together as Serena van der Woodsen and Dan Humphrey in Gossip Girl.
That being said, if there's one thing that's kind of weird in the context of two actors falling in love with each other, it's that they did not play as romantic lovers on screen, but as family members. Since there is no romantic or sexual connection between them on screen, it's hard to imagine how they hit it off, and it's also hard to keep watching the show when you know that the siblings or parent-child duo you are looking at are screwing behind the scenes!
You get used to it, though. Now, without further ado, here are some of the actor pairings that played family members on-screen but actually hit it off behind the scenes:
1. Evan Rachel Wood and Shane West played as brother and sister on Once and Again, when Shane was 21 and Rachel was just 12 back then. When they reunited nine years later, the pair started dating.
The pair were seen holding hands at a club. When asked about their status, Evan said, “I think you can put two and two together. I won’t confirm or deny it, but I don’t think I have to.”

2. Diana Hyland played John Travolta's mother in The Boy in the Plastic Bubble. They started to date in 1976, up until Diana's death just the following year.

6. Bill Hader and Anna Kendrick played siblings in Noelle and started to "quietly" date.
"They met years ago. She's hosted Saturday Night Live and they've done a movie together, but they got together well after the movie. She's really, really happy," a source told People magazine.

Of course, nobody can stay mad at Hawaii, so I thought, I've got to figure out how I can spend more time out there. I used to joke, 'Wouldn't it be hilarious if I played your mom in a flashback?' Michael shared that joke [with] the producers, and the next week, there was a phone call to my agents: 'Can Carrie play Michael's mother in a flashback [on a Season 3 episode]?' We were howling. We thought, This is insane and a little freaky, but the fans are gonna love it. Sure enough, I've gotten many Oedipal jokes, jokes [like], 'I've always mothered him, but now I get to really do it on television.' I got to go out in the jungle and simulate giving birth to my husband. Not many people get to say that."
