One of Reddit's most popular subs is r/AskWomen which serves as a special place of sorts for women to answer questions, share experiences, freely vent about their thoughts without much judgment.

As of writing, the sub has more than 3.2 million subscribers who read and listen to what women can say. As you can expect, when the topic is about and for women, childbirth comes up every now and then.

It's fair to expect curious Reddit users to wonder about the mystery around childbirth. It's normal to come across a question asking women what was the worst or best part about giving birth but one unusual post asked about an unexplored area of giving birth: regret.

The bold Reddit user asked which of the women, if any, regretted giving birth and why do they regret it. The post received a lot of responses and the moms were very candid about their reasons.

Before diving into their stories, remember their confessions are not reasons to hate on them. They are simply human, shedding a light on some of the most cumbersome parts of giving birth and the subsequent raising of children.

It's tough to be a woman in this society. Despite the strides we've made with equality, we are still sometimes treated as baby factories; if you choose not to have a child, they will say you are selfish, if you do get pregnant, they dismiss your complaints and chalk it up to hormones.

We all should know better by now that pregnancy is not a decision anybody should take lightly. Women put their bodies through physical trauma that takes a really long time to recover from.

If you choose to have children, then good for you, it's an amazing thing to be a mom if you are truly ready for it. But please, do not pass judgment against women who decide that parenthood is not for them.
