The story is shared by a Reddit user, Steven, who recounts a distressing and unforgettable encounter with an entitled mother (EM) and her child (EH). Steven explained that his beloved black and white cat, Bumper, suffered a painful injury, losing its nails under mysterious circumstances.

While trying to figure out what had happened to his beloved furry companion, he heard a loud knock on the door. On opening the door, Steve noticed a visibly annoyed woman and her little boy standing in front of the house.

As a respectful individual, OP politely asked how he could be of any help. Not only did she respond rudely, but he could tell from her body language that she had come to his house looking for trouble.

Apparently, the woman was upset that Bumper had bitten her son. And she was on a mission to get her pound of flesh for the distress her son had suffered.

Steven immediately turned to the boy to seek clarity on the incident. After a few questions, he could tell that the boy had tried to forcefully grab Bumper off the wooden fence, resulting in the bite. This also explained why Bumper was injured and had lost its hind claws.

Regardless, the woman wasn't prepared to leave unless Steven offered an apology to her son. In addition, she requested that OP give her son his Nerf Gun as a peace offering.

At this point, Steven was irritated — how could she be making demands despite the injury that her son inflicted on Bumper?! OP didn't waste time shutting his door in her face. But you bet she wasn't ready to give up just yet.
