Despite being quite familiar with how things operate in our world, social media still manages to trick us into thinking that 'perfection' is the norm. It gives everyone the impression that anything that makes you look like a real human being is ugly, not good enough, and that everyone else is more beautiful than you.

Celebrities work diligently to project this image of perfection and beauty, so people instantly start to perceive them that way. This puts so much pressure on them that they can't even have a day off where they can look and behave like themselves because once they do people will criticize them heavily.

Many celebrities have no problem posting selfies with no make-up on but usually once in a lifetime and most likely to promote some kind of skin care product.
