14 Celebs Who Were Married More Than Once But Still Believe In True Love

When a lot of us were young and naive, we dreamed of growing up, finding that person who made us laugh and feel like we were at the top of the world, and building a nice little happy family with them. As we grew up though, we found out that love wasn't that simple.

Some of us found out the hard way. While some of us had to watch all those around us go through the experience for us.

For instance, who hasn't learned a thing or two from keeping track of their fave celebs, right?

Speaking of the celebrity world, that is a place where true love seems to be just made for the movies. It's just as filled with drama and complications as the movies and shows they put out.

What's worse is that it's all open for the public to feast on. So when a celeb marries, gets a divorce, and marries again, it's all for the world to see.

Now, when we think of those celebs, it's easy to assume that they might lose their taste for marriage or dating in general. However, many celebs out there refuse to become bitter over their failed relationships.

Here are some of those celebs who have gone through several marriages but still believe in finding true love:

1. Lisa Marie Presley (4 marriages)

Elvis Presley's first daughter, Lisa, married Danny Keough in 1988. They had two kids.

A few years down the line, the two decided to get a divorce in 1994.

A couple of weeks after her divorce from Keough, Lisa was married to Michael Jackson. Sadly, their marriage only lasted two years from 1994 to 1996 and while it was Lisa who filed for the divorce, according to her, she did truly love Jackson.

Then, in 2002, Lisa married Nicolas Cage. However, Cage filed for divorce in the same year.

After that, Lisa married guitar player, Michael Lockwood and they had twins. They lasted for 10 years but the couple also filed for divorce.

2. Pamela Anderson (6 marriages)

Anderson's husbands include famous musicians Tommy Lee and Kid Rock, Jon Peters, a Hollywood producer, and even her personal bodyguard, Dan Hayhurst.

Weirdly enough, Anderson married the same guy twice. She and Rick Salomon had been legally married twice, in 2007 and 2014.

3. Heidi Klum (3 marriages)

Klum's first marriage to stylist Ric Pipino lasted from 1997 to 2002. A couple of years after they separated, Klum married a famous musician Seal, whom she divorced in 2014.

Today, the A-list model is married to the guitar player of Tokio Hotel, Tom Kaulitz. Although he's 16 years younger than her, it seems that the couple doesn't mind the age gap at all.

4. Sean Bean (5 marriages)

The first woman Bean vowed to was his school friend. But they weren't meant to be and they ended their relationship after 7 years.

After that, Sean was remarried 3 more times and it was all to actresses. This includes Melanie Hill, Abigail Cruttenden, and Georgina Sutcliffe.

Those marriages didn't last as well. But in 2017, Bean accidentally met Ashley Moore, and their encounter lead to marriage.

5. Kate Winslet (3 marriages)

With her first two marriages, it seemed that Kate had a taste for directors. She first tied the knot with Jim Threapleton and then with Sam Mendes.

But, in 2012, Winslet changed styles. She got married to British businessman, Edward Smith.

Kate also has 3 kids, one from each of her husbands.

6. Sean Penn (3 marriages)

Each of Penn's marriages was quite high-profile. First, he married Madonna, then the actress Robin Wright, and then actress Leila George.

The actor then got together with Charlize Theron but they had never been engaged or married before they split. According to Theron, she didn't have any thoughts about marrying Penn.

7. Joan Collins (5 marriages)

The first four the actress walked down the aisle to were actors Maxwell Reed and Warren Beatty, then businessman Ron Kass, and lastly singer Peter Holm.

In 2002, it seems that she found the one. The actress married producer Percy Gibson and up until today, they're still happily together. Collins is 88 years old while her husband is 57.

8. Tom Cruise (3 marriages)

The Mission: Impossible star has married actresses Mimi Rogers, Nicole Kidman, and Katie Holmes. Sadly, none of those marriages lasted long with the actor.

In 2012, Cruise got on the eligible bachelors of Hollywood list after his divorce from Holmes. Up until today, he's still on that list.

9. Drew Barrymore (3 marriages)

Barrymore was only 19 when she first got married but that didn't last long as the couple split only after a couple of months. Soon after, she got married a second time to showman Tom Green but they also split after a year.

After her last divorce, it took a while before Barrymore found love again. But in 2012, the Charlie's Angels star found art consultant Will Kopelman and they got married and had 2 daughters.

Sadly, they've split as well.

10. Liza Minnelli (4 marriages)

Sadly, for Minnelli, none of her marriages were completely happy. They also didn't bring her the joy of motherhood.

Minnelli split with her last husband in 2003. And since then, the actress has been keeping off the aisle.

11. Gary Oldman

Oldman first took actress Lesley Manville for his wife. After 2 years and a child together, the couple filed for divorce.

Oldman then got married to Uma Thurman which is his most famous marriage. But they divorced in 1992.

He then went on to marry model Donya Fiorentino and then the singer Alexandra Edenborough.

In 2017, he had a 5th try at marriage when he married writer Gisele Schmidt.

12. Janice Dickinson (4 marriages)

The dashing model has had her pick of men. And she got married four times.

However, it was only when she got engaged to psychotherapist Dr. Robert Gerner did she find happiness.

In 2016, the couple got married and it seems that Dickinson's fans have fallen in love with the couple, always leaving notes of appreciation on whatever the couple posts.

13. Jean-Claude Van Damme (5 marriages)

Although he was married five times, the famous actor actually just had four wives. That's because he married one of the twice.

His first wife was Maria Rodriguez who he stayed with for four years. Then, he got married to Cynthia Derderian and their relationship lasted for about a year.

In 1987, Van Damme got married to his third wife, bodybuilder Gladys Portugues whom he had two kids with. Unfortunately, the marriage broke up because of the actor's affair with Darcy LaPier.

Later on, he married LaPier and had 1 son with her but they also split.

Then, in 1999, Van Damme and Portugues rekindled their romance, got married, and are still happily together today.

14. Jennifer Lopez (3 marriages)

J Lo's first husband was waiter Ojani Noa but their marriage only lasted under a year. After they divorced, J Lo still made him the manager of her restaurant but it ended up in litigation.

The singer then married dancer Cris Judd but that marriage also only lasted less than a year.

J Lo's next marriage lasted longer and it was to her old friend, singer Marc Anthony. But after 10 years together, they divorced.

Then, in 2022, J Lo revealed she was engaged to Ben Affleck.

Getting married that many times is just no joke. Aside from the costs of the marriage and the divorce, imagine all the emotional trauma you'd have to go through to completely close that chapter of your life.

Fortunately, it seems that those challenges didn't leave these celebs on the bitter side of life. Let's hope there is true love still for them out there.
