Artificial intelligence is increasingly becoming more popular, and why wouldn’t it? It has made life a lot easier.

With things like advanced search engines, self-driving vehicles, and recommendation systems, many people use AI today in their everyday lives.

The journey to this point wasn’t as smooth as many may imagine. AI was first founded as an academic discipline in 1956. After that, it suffered a loss of funding but soon bounced back.

Today it is used to create art. One lawyer and photographer in Istanbul, Turkey, Alper Yesiltas, did this and shared it with the world.

According to him, he first created a project called "As If Nothing Happened", where he depicted what some lost celebrities would look like if they were alive today.

Then he shared another AI-based project which included a collection of images titled "Thisness". 

Through this project, he answered the question "What would some iconic people look like if they lived in our time instead of living in theirs?"
