30 Celebrities Who Deserve A Massive Apology For Being Unfairly "Canceled"

Celebrities, they really are just like us. Are they? Well not really, aside from the fact that they earn tons of money and they look like genetic impossibilities, they live very public lives.

Their every move is watched, recorded, and judged by regular people like us. Because of this never-ending attention, any kind of action that they make that is perceived to be wrong can cause their "cancellation".

Cancel culture is a very polarizing topic. On one hand, some people believe it doesn't actually have any real effect on their careers, we've seen a handful of celebrities lose a huge amount of following and support.

In most cases, those that do lose a project or two are actual awful human beings. While in some instances, some celebs get blacklisted and receive backlash for controversial opinions that in time, turn out to be correct.

Of course, it's easier to follow the tide and say their downfalls were deserved but with the proper context, you can see why these famous people were unfairly canceled.

Reddit was ablaze with this exact discussion when one user asked which celebrities got canceled that the other users felt was uncalled for. The internet joined the bandwagon too soon with these #canceled famous people.

1. Brendon Frasier - was unable to book new projects for exposing the horrific actions of media moguls

2. Britney Spears - for having a very human reaction to being gaslit, used, and abused by her own family

3. Hana Kimura - received hate comments for playing her part too well on a reality show

4. Janet Jackson - her career suffered tremendously for the infamous wardrobe malfunction at the Superbowl

5. Laura Dern - for playing Ellen DeGeneres's girlfriend in a series

6. Kesha - deserved a lot better from the public for the kind of abuse she went through

7. Amanda Bynes - castigated by the media for the way she looks at such a young age. She is under a conservatorship like the one Britney Spears was in.

8. Terry Crews - for being sexually assaulted

9. Hayden Christenson - got a heap ton of fan hate for the Star Wars Prequels

10. Megan Fox - overly sexualized and typecasted into the "hot bimbo" roles

11. Paul Reubens - he was caught masturbating in an adult (porn) theater

12. Winona Ryder - she shoplifted and the police treated her like a serial criminal

13. Ashley Judd - for speaking out against Weinstein

14. Mira Sorvino - same with Ashely Judd, Sorvino also spoke up against Weinstein.

They usually spread rumors that they're difficult to work with and they're "total divas" until no one wants to hire them for films.

15. Corey Feldman - candidly spoke about what really happens to young actors in Tinsel Town

16. Monica Lewinsky - was the butt of every joke for decades for sleeping with a US president

17. August Ames - for refusing to film gay porn

18. The Chicks (formerly known as Dixie Chicks) - got cancelled for publicly advocating against the war in Iraq

19. Jenna Marbles - acknowledged and took accountability her past problematic behavior and never fully recovered from it

20. Former US Senator Al Franken - resigned from public office after getting accused of harassment and inappropriate behavior

21. Johnny Depp - lost acting roles after his ex-wife, Amber Heard, accused him of being abusive but it turns out, she was the abuser

22. Rebecca Black - for singing a harmless song about Friday. People thought it was cool to hate on a 13-year-old.

23. Ingrid Berman - senators took their time to make speeches about her affair and she was denied visitation to her daughter.

24. Colin Kaepernick - for being a vocal advocate of the Black Lives Matter movement

With the internet, everything comes in an instant, even judgment. It's easy for a lot of anonymous people to band together and decide that someone's career is over.

People form their judgments even without enough information. Now that new information has come to light, some form of correction is in order.
