Two Cats Received Awards For Helping Their Human Families Emotionally Recover And Get Back To Living Life

Cats are adorable creatures. They are capable of giving genuine and unconditional tender loving care to humans and seeing this, it won't be hard for us humans to give the same in return.

At one point in our lives, we all get to a situation that seems unbearable. And having a cat proves to lessen the worries and stress, just like what you'll learn from the stories of these two families.

Both stories feature two cats who, just like their human families, experienced difficulties in life. Mikey was a stray cat with one eye, and the other one is Minty, a cat with three legs only.

These cats were recognized and awarded by the "Cats Protection". It's a UK charity that holds an annual ceremony to identify the most outstanding cat that has made a great impact on its human family's life.

Mikey, the one-eyed cat, helped a grieving mom from the loss of her baby. While Minty, the 3-legged cat helped a child with a learning disorder in a multitude of ways.

Cats are indeed one of the best companions one can have in the most difficult times. You will understand it more as you read through the stories of the two families who adopted a cat.

Mikey got an eye surgery

Mikey is a stray cat from Southend, UK. Being a stray cat was not very easy, and because Mikey did not receive any TLC from any human, it suffered badly health-wise, which lead to eye surgery.

One of its eyes of Mikey had to be removed because of an excessive abscess. Mikey needs some TLC as well.

Fortunately, Mikey met Jessica. Jessica on the other hand needed the same thing, and it all just clicked between the two of them.

Mikey and Jessica met at the right time. Because of what happened, Jessica withdrew from everybody and started to be alone most of the time.

Jessica realized that she needed to do something to help herself. Her husband who was sent back to the army post won't be there for her, and being alone with hypertension won't be a good idea.

She decided to adopt Mikey and that was the best decision Jessica did for herself. Mikey and Jessica met at the right time in their lives.
