Catfish Gets Catfished After Messing With The Wrong Girl
“How are you gonna try to catfish a wrong number that texted you?”

It's safe to say most of us have watched multiple episodes of MTV's "Catfish," and we are all well aware of the dangers of online strangers. There are an infinite amount of horror stories out there, and plenty of creeps just waiting to connect with innocent victims either online or even by phone.
But what happens when the Catfish gets Catfished?
That's exactly what happened in this story posted on subreddit r/quityourbullsh*t by user u/ephemeraII.
You can follow the story below in a series of screenshots, featuring a "marine" named "Justin" who "accidentally" texts the wrong number and begins a conversation with a young lady called "Rachel."
Phew, that's a lot of quotation marks!
He begins by casually texting and trying to jog the girl's memory as to who he is, saying he's a marine and they met a while back.

She says she doesn't remember him, but they keep the conversation going and Rachel even sends him a photo.

But then Justin asks a random question... “How are you gonna try to catfish a wrong number that texted you?” he asks.

"How are you gonna catfish someone you randomly texted," she replies. "I showed a friend the picture you sent claiming to be you and found out who that person is,” he responds.

“Then you should know she’s the girlfriend of the real guy in the photo you sent me,” she responds... following it up with some screenshots of the couple together. BOOM!!!!

People were very impressed with the level of reverse-Catfishing demonstrated here.
