A Police Officer Came To The Rescue Of A Cat Whose Head Is Stuck In A Bag Of Chips
The chip-loving cat got herself into trouble, you might even call it a salty situation.

Cats get stuck all the time. The classic example is when they get stranded on trees.
With their claws and agility, they can easily climb up the trees. But the problem comes when it's time to go down—they don't know how to do it.
It's the same thing when they find tight spaces. They love fitting themselves in small spaces only to get stuck and cry out to their human for help.
Cats love getting themselves in the oddest places because it gives them comfort and safety. A small space helps them retain their body heat.
It is part of their instinct to hide from predators. This is the very reason by they love getting into boxes, particularly the smaller ones.
Since cats spend most of their time sleeping, keeping themselves protected is their priority. You could say that boxes give them a sense of security.
Scientists also discovered that felines are most comfy between 86 and 97 degrees Fahrenheit. If you think about it, this is warmer than the room temperature we, humans, prefer to live life in.
The story we're looking at today is about a cat who got stuck. But instead of a box, this poor furball's head got stuck inside a bag of chips.
The incident happened in Pleasanton, Texas.
The cat seems to love the human snack to the point of getting her head stuck in a bag of chips. Fortunately, a kind officer spotted the poor feline and helped her gain her freedom back from the clutches of the bag.

A Pleasanton Police Department officer named Matt DeLeon caught the moment on camera.
The police officer was patrolling the area when he came upon a troubled feline in a parking lot with a yellow bag stuck in the furball's head. The snack-loving cat couldn't resist the deliciousness of the food, which resulted in her predicament.
Good think DeLeon was there.

DeLeon rushed to the cat and yanked the evil chip bad from the furball's head.
Although the cat appreciates the assistance, she bolted away instead of showing some gratitude by purring. She was probably just too scared of what just happened to her.
We just hope that the cat is safe and isn't traumatized by the incident.

The Pleasanton Police Department is proud of DeLeon's good deed.
They shared the 14-second video on Facebook. And with the power of social media, we can bring this wonderful story with you.
Remember that cats are good at getting themselves into unreachable areas. It can be difficult for the pet owners to get them out, especially when they're stuck.
According to experts, it's best to avoid abrupt actions and noises as these can scare the feline, complicating the situation even more. For cats who are indoors, you can attract their attention using wet food, cat toys, or catnip.
When outdoors, you can heat a canned tuna and leave it outside. In case your cat is scared, the hunger they feel will overcome their fear.
After reaching familiar ground, your feline will go inside your house after you open the door.
