We often desire to provide the best for our kids when it comes to material things. We want to make sure they have access to the best toys, clothing, and technology available but is this really in their best interests?
Keeping up with the trend is a common feeling among people. However, we fail to see that by doing this, we are instilling in our kids the belief that material possessions are the most significant aspect of life.
Furthermore, as parents, we frequently make the mistake of believing that we must grant our kids their every wish. However, this might not truly be beneficial to their worldview and morals.
Giving in to your children's every desire teaches them that material possessions are what matter most in life. Additionally, you're depriving them of the opportunity to learn how to value what they currently have.
In today's story, we see an entitled mom and her daughter. From the look of things, this entitled mom must have been bending to her daughter's every wish, as she didn't hesitate to claim another person's car as her child's.
The OP only let his cat out of the house on her daily "exploration" trip around the apartment block. He sees a little girl playing with his cat but thinks nothing of it, only for the mom to show up and ask for details about the cat.
All of a sudden, the little girl grabbed the cat, and her mom claimed ownership of the cat while tagging the OP as a thief.

She wears a collar at all times. However, she has a naturally long coat of fur, which the collar is buried in, so it's usually not visible unless u pick her up and look for the collar. It has her name, my number and my address on it.
I didn't pick it up to show the police officer because at that point in the fiasco, she was already quite traumatised and i didn't want to stress her further by picking her up.
The part that ticked me off the most was how she said it as if she was doing me a favor by taking my cat.

Reddit/Mr_S0undOP should press charges
Reddit/Mr_S0undIt's critical to inculcate in our kids the virtues of gratitude and appreciation from an early age. We are preparing them for a happier and more satisfying life by doing this but apparently, this entitled mom failed to teach her child that.
Redditors adviced the OP to press charges so people like that can be taught a good lesson according to the law. Do share this post with your loved ones to get their own opinions as well.
