Even though Everyone Warned Him Not To Touch The “Ugly Cat,” This Man Didn’t Listen

We all need love and care. Unfortunately, some people and animals don’t get to know what’s it like to have someone to be there for you, protect you and take care of you.

However, sometimes we can make a difference and give them those things they’ve been yearning for. But sometimes it is just too late.

“Everyone in the apartment complex I resided in was aware of Ugly,” a person unwilling to reveal their name said. “Ugly loved three things more than anything else in this world: fighting, eating, and garbage.”

All of these factors, combined with a life spent outside, had an effect on Ugly. To begin with, he only had one eye, with a huge hole where the other should have been.

His left ear is also missing, and his left foot appears to have been severely shattered at some stage. He'd been twisted the other way around, and his tail had vanished, leaving a little stump from which he'd jerk and twist repeatedly.

Scabs covered Ugly's tabby coat, making him less appealing. When people saw Ugly, they all said the same thing: "That's one ugly cat!"

It was suggested that the kids avoid playing with him. Adults threw stones at him or attempted to chase him away with a hose.

"Ugly, on the other hand, always had the same reaction when he was attacked. He'd remain there and refuse to move until the wicked stranger abandoned the hose and the rocks and left him alone.

If you tossed stuff at him, he'd run up to you and rub his head against your feet, begging forgiveness. When Ugly spotted children, he would run up to them and smack his head against their hands, hoping to be stroked.

If you picked him up, he instantly began licking your shirt or ears, or whatever he could get his hands on," an unkown writer continues.

One day, Ugly fell in love with the Huskies who lived next door. His advances were not well received, and he was badly hurt.

"I ran to his rescue after hearing his screams from my room. By the time I arrived, he had already died; he had been viciously killed.

I carried him home because I was concerned that touching him would make him uncomfortable. He gasped and strained, but then a familiar feeling rose up through my body from beneath my ear.

Ugly had his mouth on my ear. He slammed his head on my hand as I drew him closer."

Then he turned his one golden eye onto me, and I heard purring. Even though he was in excruciating pain and covered in scars, the battle-scarred cat only wanted one thing: a little love.

I believed Ugly was the most lovely, loving creature I had ever seen at the time. He never attempted to bite, scratch, or run away from me.

Ugly simply gazed up at me, trusting that I could help him. Ugly died in my arms before I could get him inside, but I sat and held him for a long time afterward, reflecting on how one scarred, malformed little wanderer could change my perspective on what it meant to have pure spirit.

To love completely and completely.

"Ugly taught me more about giving and compassion than a thousand books, lectures, or talk show specials ever could.

Although it’s preferable, to be honest, there are many individuals who want to be richer, more prominent, popular, and attractive. For me, however, I will always endeavor to be ugly," the unknown writer concluded his story.
