Man Caught A Mouse Twice But Was Able To Escape, Upsetting His Cat and His Girlfriend
Mice carry a lot of deadly diseases.

Rats are dangerous to humans especially if they bite or scratch you. If you are not fully aware of that, you should know that these creatures are associated with the plague.
They are spreaders of leptospirosis, hantavirus, and some other deadly diseases. Aside from that, their urine's smell is strong and musty.
You can only imagine what happened there as shared by user SandersSchmittlaub on Reddit during their close encounter with a mouse. The mouse did not only enter their home but jumped into his girlfriend's face.
During cold seasons, rodents would find a place to keep them warm, and there they went inside his home. Although he had a cat named Boots, he described him as fat and lazy, so instead, they set up some no-kill mousetraps.
After leaving the traps overnight, one caught a mouse, and interestingly, his 11-year-old daughter fell in love with it. Her daughter took the responsibility of releasing the mouse after doing her chores.
Unfortunately, the mouse managed to escape. When both of them went back to check on the trap, the mouse was nowhere to be found.
Then Boots began sniffing around the base of their cabinets, which meant he smelled the mouse! Read along to know what happened next.
Boots was sniffing around.
As he has prejudged Boots as lazy, he thought that the cat only saw a greeble. It took him long before he realized it must be the mouse that escaped.
He then titled the cabinets. Boots dived into it and caught the mouse!

His daughter rescued the mouse again!

They had a photo op instead. But read what happened here.

The mouse outsmarted him again!

These are some of the comments from the online community. If there's one mouse, then there's probably more.

Releasing the mouse of the property will allow him to come back in.

One finds the story really funny.

Boots knew exactly what he was doing, and he redeemed himself from being tagged as fat and lazy.

Some suggested that he get a terrier so he'll never have to deal with mice again.

One finds this story hilarious and said he loves how cats are naturally good at hunting.

At least it just hit her chin and did not go inside her mouth.

This man should know about hantavirus.

It was great if his girlfriend had documented that scene where the mouse flew towards her.

The cat was doing him a favor instead! He should teach his daughter about the food chain instead.

The "greebles".

Oh, sh**t!

This person's cats would catch baby rats, play with them, and leave them petrified. They trained a collie instead, who is now an expert mouser.

This person got a cat as a companion and a mouser. The cat proved to be a good mouse catcher.

Again, use a bucket trap instead.

At least it just hit her chin and did not go inside her mouth.

Encourage the cat to be a good hunter.

The story was probably made up.

Teach your kid not to touch mice as they carry lots of diseases.

After failing twice in a row, this guy earned the ire of his girlfriend and cat. Despite being outsmarted by a rodent, his daughter still thought the whole thing was funny.
Not minding the danger they were facing if the mouse bit any of them or scratched them, he even dismissed the fact that there may be other rodents in their home. At least, the online community warned him about everything.
