Dogs are lovely pets because they provide their owners with unconditional love and loyalty. This love is mutual, as their owners also love them deeply.
However, in reality, not everyone likes dogs or would even want to have dogs as pets or any other pet. People are totally different, and they are people who don’t love dogs the way we do or would want to have dogs around for reasons best known to them.
Meet this Redditor, KoolKat1999pft, who was having a serious issue with her boyfriend over not wanting a pet dog around. The original poster has no downer on dogs at all.
The Redditor recently bought a house and is happy with the cats she adores dearly. Recently, her boyfriend, who is a dog lover, wants to move in with her, and he wants to move in with a dog.
This didn’t go down well with the OP because she knows one of her cats is aggressive around dogs. Scroll down to read how the entire story unfolded, prompting the OP to share the story on the AITA subreddit group in order to get their opinions.
The AITA community was nearly unanimous in the opinion that it would be terrible for the boyfriend to move in with a dog, as one of the OP’s cats isn’t comfortable around dogs. They had plenty more to say, so scroll down to see them.

RedditPeople are totally different around dogs or any other pet animal. Some of them would prefer other animals like cats, snakes, or birds as pets.
Sometimes it is about what will work out at the moment, like the presence of a pet that is aggressive towards other pets. But in the end, it’s about the safety and happiness of everyone involved—the pet owners and the pets themselves.
