Missing Cat Miraculously Shows Up In The Neighborhood Its Owners Moved Into Two Months After It Went AWOL

At first, of course, there's a state of panic that you have to go through, but after a while, you just get used to the fact that your cat occasionally goes on a vacation wherever they may find themselves ending up.

Cats are natural explorers, and the phrase "curiosity killed the cat" couldn't actually be far from true. They may go missing for hours or days to fulfill their hunting instincts, find a mate, or simply just want to explore every nook and corner they discover.

Pet owners who are used to it have already chipped their cats or have put an identifiable mark on them just in case they do end up missing. But we can't deny the anxiety they still bring whenever they aren't in our line of sight—especially when they are already particularly old or still young.

Halie Kutscher, a certain cat owner shared her story online about her pet who wandered off miles away and went missing for almost two months—but then found his way back to the new neighborhood that his owners moved into. Read on to find out the whole story!

Meet Oliver—this curious little cat who went on a long adventure and somehow returned back to his family even when they had already moved houses.

They gave up searching for Oliver when he went missing, and they had no choice but to leave without him. Oliver did wander off a few times but always managed to return home—but not this time.

Max, a 9-year-old boy, was heartbroken when Oliver went missing. He was the one that chose Oliver from the shelter, back when the little troublemaker was just a kitten.

The family tried to re-search the area every week, but they always left empty-handed. Halie was heartbroken, but they kept their hopes up: “My 9-year-old son would be walking up and down the street yelling his name, sobbing uncontrollably. It was a lot to deal with.”

They prayed every night, willing Oliver to come home.

The universe must have heard their wishes, because nearly two months later after the cat went missing, he stumbled upon the family's new garden. Halie tried calling him "Roliver," his nickname.

“He started bellowing,” she said. “It was so distinctive. It was like an, ‘I’m trying to tell you something meow.’ That’s when I knew, ‘Oh my god, that’s him.’”

“As soon as we got inside, I dropped to my knees and just held him sobbing. He stayed right there with me as the rest of the family and pets gathered around him.”

All the other pets immediately recognized Oliver, and a trip to the vet confirmed that it was indeed him via his microchip.

Somehow, and rather miraculously, the feline found its way home not to the house it came from, but to the place where his family is currently in. The family is now encouraging everyone to microchip their pets.
