Unwanted Cat Was Finally Adopted After 400 Days Thanks To This Incredible Campaign
If all animals had marketing campaigns like these there would be way fewer animals in need of homes
By now, everyone should be familiar with the phrase "adopt, don't shop." There are so many animals in shelters that need love, care and a good family. Some of these poor animals have been severely neglected and even abandoned. Whether it be because the animals are sick, or weren't a good fit for the household or maybe the people just sucked.
Regardless, there are a lot of sad stories that come out of animal shelters. But there are also some happy ones. This one, despite having a sad beginning for this cute white kitty has a lovely ending after staff got creative in order to give this cat the life it deserves.
Meet Champas.
He arrived in an Animal Welfare League shelter in Australia back in 2015. Champas was a shy boy; avoiding contact with people and hiding in the shadows.
In order to increase Champas' chances of adopted, staff at the shelter decided to socialise him more by assigning him the position of "feline receptionist."
Champas began to meet more and more people and he became much friendlier. This is when shelter staff new he was ready to be adopted and set up an adorable ad campaign.

His new parent, Nathan, said:
“To everyone who is wondering what happened to Champas the long term resident of Kemps Creek – he came home with me today, and after biting my hand, went straight to sleep,”
