Guy Offers To Sell His Car To His Brother But Decides To Ask For $2000 More After Checking Carvana And Seeing That The Sell Price For His Car Went Up

We are back again today with another Reddit post from the AITA thread that we wanted to go over. These posts really do get a lot of attention usually, which is why we love that we can go over these and share some of the entertaining stories and cool comments.

We like looking into these posts because it really is a great way for people to get unbiased opinions and different perspectives as well. Seeing other people's opinions and just what they think of the situation can help you view things in a different way.

With this being said, we're diving into a story posted by a guy who is looking to see if he's wrong for asking for more money for his car. Now we've all probably been in a situation where we have been out of a car, and it's a super stressful situation to be in.

In this situation, this guy was offering to sell his car to his brother, but he ended up raising the price once he found out how much his car was worth, according to Carvana. As you can imagine, this caused a huge fuss with the brother, and that's what this post is about.

So without further ado, let's dive in and check out the full post and the best comments on it.

OP starts of f his post by saying that he offered to sell his car to his brother and he goes into a bit of the agreement between the two in terms of pricing, etc.

He says that his brother was ready to purchase, but they weren't ready to sell. Then he explains why he ended up raising the price

He wants to know if he is in the wrong for raising the price based on the price that he saw on Carvana because people are telling him that he is.

People immediately came to the comments to tell OP that he was TA for this and that if it had been the other way around then he wouldn't have changed the offer.

This is also an important detail to remember as well since he used the car to travel far distances on a vacation and so this makes the value of the car go down.

It really does sound like he's saying this, but really he needs to realize how important or unimportant that $2,000 is.

This is absolutely true because he should have never offered the car to them if he wasn't really ready to sell it to anyone.

He pretty much made them SOL and strung them along for no reason, just to raise the price and expect them to still want to buy it off of him.

He really probably shouldn't have even looked up the pricing on Carvana at all because that's what let him set the price so high to begin with.

We definitely feel like this guy has not made the right decisions when it came to selling his car to his brother. Obviously, he's not trying to help his brother out, but he is instead trying just to make a pretty penny off the transaction.

Do you agree with what people were saying in the comments, or do you feel like he was in the right?
