Royal Family Member Resembling Princes William And Harry Will Inherit $130 Million
The Spencer family will soon welcome a new head of the household.

It’s easy to recognize the most famous members of Britain’s royal family, but beyond the headlines and red carpets, there are relatives who keep a much lower profile - until something brings them into view. One such figure is Louis Spencer, Viscount Althorp, Princess Diana’s nephew, who is about to inherit his family’s considerable fortune and estate.
Louis, 31, has largely stayed out of the spotlight despite his royal connections. However, headlines have picked up recently because he stands to receive roughly £100 million (about $130 million) from the Spencer family fortune.
He’ll also inherit the title of Earl Spencer and ownership of Althorp Estate, the 13,500‑acre family home in Northamptonshire, when his father, Charles Spencer, passes away.
Born in 1994, Louis is the eldest son of Diana’s younger brother, Charles, 9th Earl Spencer, and his first wife, Victoria Lockwood. He has three older sisters, Kitty, Amelia, and Eliza, but under the traditional rule of male primogeniture, he is first in line to inherit the family’s land, title, and assets.
As Kitty told Town & Country magazine, “Primogeniture can be a tricky topic because, as times are changing, so are attitudes. We’ve grown up understanding that it’s Louis who will inherit, and Louis will do an incredible job.”
Louis Spencer is poised to inherit an extraordinary fortune.
Louis first appeared at a major royal event in 2011, attending Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding at age 17. He was also a guest at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding in 2018, where his resemblance to Harry earned him the nickname “Harry Lite.” Despite these public appearances, he maintains a relatively private life.
After his family moved to Cape Town in 1995, seeking a quieter existence following Diana’s divorce, Louis returned to the UK for school. He studied at Diocesan College in South Africa, then earned a degree from the University of Edinburgh before training at ArtsEd drama school in London.
Now pursuing an acting career under the stage name Louis John Lyons, he’s represented by the same agency that manages stars like Lily James and Dominic West.

He is a relative of Prince Harry and Prince William, and he bears a striking resemblance to both.
Though he was once named one of Britain’s most eligible bachelors by Tatler, described as “tall, debonair, and very handsome,” Louis keeps his personal life private. Rumors occasionally surface about marriage proposals from admirers, but he hasn’t publicly confirmed any serious relationships.

As Viscount Althorp, Louis is preparing to step into responsibilities that go beyond a title. Althorp Estate, valued at about £100 million according to The Sun, includes historic buildings, farmland, and a chapel where Diana is buried. Managing such a vast property and its traditions will require a balance of respect for family history and a modern approach to stewardship.

With William and Harry settling into married life and taking on their own public roles, Louis represents a new generation of the Spencer family. Whether he continues acting or chooses a different path, his upcoming inheritance will place him firmly in the spotlight.
Yet by all accounts, he’s determined to keep things straightforward and authentic, staying true to the private values his family has long upheld—even as he takes on one of Britain’s most substantial inheritances.
