People can never be perfect. And this goes the same for relationships.

No matter how much you love your partner, you're bound to see their ugly side in certain situations. It's just a part of themselves that you either accept or refuse.

Today's story is from the Relationship Advice subreddit. The original poster (OP) is a woman who went on a vacation with some family members, childhood friends, and her boyfriend.

One night, when all of the women except her went into their rooms, she was left with the male members of their vacationing group, including her boyfriend. Her SO suddenly decided it was going to be a boys' night and was told to go to her room.

She became upset. She felt like she was being shooed away by her boyfriend.

To her, being told to get in her room when she still wanted to hang out during a vacation she paid for was unfair. It was incredibly rude and unreasonable of her boyfriend to suddenly declare the event.

So, she asked for the opinions of the online community regarding how her boyfriend acted and how she felt about it. She wonders if she's just being oversensitive and asks if it would've been better to let his boyfriend have his boys' night.

She can't hang out by herself outdoors alone, either. The place is unsafe for women going out alone.

If other women were in the OP's shoes, they'd get offended too. The boyfriend was being rude.

Having a boys' night by sending your partner to bed was just extremely rude.

Other men would gladly let their women join the fun, especially when they have the same interests as the rest of the group. This user gives an example.

He'd even bring his wife to excuse himself early from the event.

Shooing the OP away was just so immature.

If the OP's boyfriend really wanted a boys' night out, he should've scheduled it before the trip even started. It was rude of him to just shoo his girlfriend away and make her lock herself in her room when she just wanted to enjoy the company of male family members and friends.

Inconsiderate actions like these can strain relationships. That's why the OP needs to let her boyfriend know how she feels.

Maybe it'll even correct his immature attitude.
