It's funny how stressed out we can get when choosing the perfect name for our pets because we call them a thousand different names anyway. My dog, for example, is regularly referred to as Sir Poops-a-lot, among other monikers.

Calling our pets my love, my baby, or sweetie is nothing out of the ordinary. If you are this type of pet owner, then we must stay away from this Redditor.

OP's boyfriend has a cat named Luna. He often calls the cat sweetie or cutie, which OP thinks is disgusting.

OP mentioned that Luna runs up to her boyfriend when he gets home from work. Her boyfriend will pick Luna up and say, "Sweetie, I missed you too."

There is no doubt that her boyfriend is talking to Luna and not her, grumbled OP. She told her boyfriend that she disapproves of him calling his cat the same nicknames she calls her.

OP said this was also probably confusing for Luna as well. She added that when her boyfriend calls her "sweetie," it just makes her think of him calling his cat the same thing.
