We've seen many different posts like this one where we go through different things that someone born in a certain era would've been obsessed with. Basically, we're looking into the popular things of certain time periods such as the 80s, 90s, or 2000s.

We love doing these types of articles because it really takes us in for a blast from the past when looking at all of these popular things. Today we are focusing on the 90s era and what people born in the 90s were probably obsessed with.

We'll be talking about books, cards, and toys that people from the 90s loved or may have known someone else who loved it. It's crazy to see the trend and just how things are different nowadays compared to back when we were children.

Harry Potter books were definitely a big thing in the 90s and people were constantly trying not to get spoilers from people ins school.

2. Pokemon Cards

Pokemon cards were one of the first collecting items that we were exposed to in the 90s and it seemed like everyone had them.

3. Japanese Pokemon Cards

If you're a true Pokemon fan then you know that the Japanese pokemon cards were the rarest.

4. Beanie Babies

Beanie Babies were seriously something that everyone I knew was obsessed with and I know people who still look for the rare ones.

5. Beanie Babies in Happy Meals

The Beanie Babies that were in Happy Meals were seriously the best and it gave us an excuse to ask to go to McDonalds.

6. Tamagotchis

Tamagotchis are some of the most iconic 90s toys that we all had and loved. Now we have things like this but on our phones.

7. VHS tapes

Everyone had a whole shelf of VHS tapes in their house ready to go for any movie night.

8. Furbies

Furbies were something people really loved even if they were a little bit creepy at times.

I don't understand why they don't want to bring these back because this would be awesome.

Almost any kind of doll that embodied our favorite characters were a win for us.

These were yet another type of collecters card that we were into.

16. Polly Pockets

Polly Pockets were seriously so cute and we loved collecting all the rubber clothes for her.

17. GameBoys

Gameboys were the first gaming device that it seemed everyone wanted. It was handheld and came with all the classic games.

18. Pez Dispensers

Obviously we were obsessed with Pez and needed the ones with all our favorite characters on it.

All of these things that people were absolutely obsessed with in the 90s were spot on. I remember all of these things honestly even if I didn't have them myself.

It's awesome to see how many collectible items were around back then though.
