16 People Share Awful Examples Of Boomer Home Décor And We're Laughing A Little Too Hard

A person who was born between 1946 and 1964 is referred to as a "baby boomer." The baby boomer generation accounts for a sizable fraction of the global population, particularly in developed countries.

As of 2019, it accounts for more than 21% of the population of the United States of America. One thing boomers are famous for is an approach to the world's problems from a position of security and privilege.

Basically, they were born after WWII, when their fathers and grandfathers managed to strike a win for a better world (no matter how bad it is now, it was even worse back then). It was a period of massive reconstruction in the world, a booming economy, and better social care.

People had better job security and could afford to buy homes with only one working family member. Wives were usually stay-at-home moms, while the husbands were providing for the family.

And they love to tell millennials how they should live their lives, giving them advice that might have worked when they were young, but are seriously dated now. Now, it's payback time. It is our turn to criticize them.

We will start with the way they decorate their homes. 16 people shared things they hate the most about the way boomers decorate. Take a look:

Now, we can’t blame boomers for decorating like this, because it was popular when they were young and interested in decorating their homes. Of course, trends change.

And before you start condemning them, just look at modern homes. They all look alike, don’t they?

That’s what trends are all about. People doing the same thing…
