Living on a large property is a dream for many folks, offering peace, tranquility, and a bit of isolation from the hustle and bustle of crowded towns or villages. But it does come with its unique set of challenges, like neighbors turning your land into their personal shortcut. It starts innocently enough, maybe with a few people taking a walk or kids playing around.

But it can get out of hand when they begin to take it for granted, just like what happened to our guy, OP. When he first bought his secluded property, things were peachy.

He even made his own small road to make getting out to the main road easier. But then, as more houses sprang up around him, his neighbors started using his shortcut. It didn't bother OP at first, but things went south when his field turned into a free-for-all parking lot and party zone.

He tried talking to the culprits, but the rudeness he faced pushed him over the edge. After enduring verbal abuse toward his girlfriend, he'd had enough.

So, OP built a big stone fence around his property, finally keeping the peace and his property private. Even the previous jerks were now sorry, begging him to remove the fence as it added precious minutes to their commute.

OP didn't budge, he even threatened to let his dogs loose if they trespassed again. But the downside was that even the good neighbors were now inconvenienced, leaving OP feeling conflicted about his actions.
