Man Gets Blocked On Hinge After Driving One Hour To Meet His Date
Is it even a date when the other person doesn’t show up?

Online dating is one of the greatest gifts the internet has given us, and thankfully, there are loads of success stories to prove this.
With dating apps, it's much easier for a person to expand their horizons and meet more options. They meet a wide range of people based on their preferences and mingle with people they would never have come across otherwise.
This helps so many people because sometimes the right person lives in a different geographical location, and with these apps, you can connect with them.
Sometimes, people don't find romantic partners but end up making excellent friends on these apps.
Unfortunately, horror stories about online dating are just as many as success stories. We found one story on Twitter about a Nebraska man who drove one hour for a date only to get blocked.
The Twitter user drugs_abuser, unlike his name implies, isn't the perpetrator in this case.
He revealed that he planned to go on a movie date in Omaha with a woman he met on Hinge. Exciting, isn't it?
However, he received the shock of his life on getting to her city. She blocked and unadded him the moment he informed her of his arrival.
Sadly, he ended up watching the movie alone, and of course, posted a funny tweet about this bizarre experience. How else would we have known about it?
Check out the Twitter thread below. It's sad and hilarious at the same time.
Big L for this guy
Imagine planning a movie date with someone, driving an hour to meet the person, only to end up blocked and alone. Heartbreaking!

The best spots to meet someone new...someone that won't block you, that is.

According to this user, there’s only one winner, and it’s not her.

Is finding love in Nebraska that difficult?

All in a day’s work.

Everyone’s dream.
@jacob_a_schallAnother first mistake?
Hinge seems to have earned itself a bad reputation.

@HomosexualMoronIt’s a mystery
Even to OP (original poster) too.
@keepoffgrasssAnother angle
Was OP too hot to handle, maybe? Is that why his date stood him up?

Driving, running; it’s all semantics.

This commenter may be onto something.
@RogerUndefeatedAs great as online dating is, many people have had terrible experiences with it. We guess this is the part where the saying nothing good comes easy comes into play.
Although OP didn’t get the opportunity to enjoy a night out with his hinge date, at least he got the support of many well-meaning people in the comments section.
Many people offered sound advice on meeting someone, while a few others took some jabs at OP.
We can only hope this Twitter user finds love someday soon; after all, there is plenty of fish in the sea, and the possibilities are truly endless.
