Dad Builds A 'Bi-Chair' For His Bisexual Daughter Which Is 'Designed For People Who Can't Sit Straight'

Apparently, sitting slumped in a chair with one leg up, or completely hunched forward over your legs, is a highly common trait among bi people.

So, apparently, it is well-known the world over that bisexual people can't sit properly. After all, sitting up with perfect posture and both feet lined up on the ground has to be a straight people position, right?

Now, I had never heard this before, but evidently, this fact is so well-known that it even became a meme. Not only that, but a talented designer then took that meme and created a chair, especially for bi people, calling it the "Bi-Chair."

You may be wondering if the idea that bi people don't sit "normally" might be offensive or, in the very least, a very specific stereotype. But, actually, the notion was initially spread by bisexual people themselves.

Apparently, sitting slumped in a chair with one leg up, or completely hunched forward over your legs, is a highly common trait among bi people. It's interesting, right?

With this in mind, Brazilian artist Má Matiazi began a design for what would later be called the "Bi-Chair."

Má posted her design to her Instagram page, saying the chair was "designed for people who can't sit straight."

Israel Walker, a Starbucks barista and former Air Force member, was intrigued by the design. The main reason being he had learned first hand about "bisexual sitting" from his bi, non-binary daughter.

So, Israel reached out to Má to ask for her permission to build the "Bi-Chair" for his daughter. Of course, she said yes, and that's when Israel brought the chair to life.

Israel posted the result to Facebook, and, naturally, the post went viral. People were in love with the idea that someone would go to such an effort for their child.

Israel varied Má's design slightly, saying he made the chair a little bit rougher, and the arms are shorter and unfinished. He also added a cutout section for the knee rest, instead of Má's original two-tiered sloping design.

It's pretty apparent by this photo of Israel's daughter using the chair that he completely nailed it!

She looks so natural sitting in the chair made with love, especially for her. What an incredible dad she has!

If the comments on Israel's post are anything to go by, the bi community will be pushing for these chairs to be mass-produced in no time - and why wouldn't they? I mean, just look at it!
