Dog Missing For Six Years Found In Woods, But Family Doesn't Want Her Back

Humankind's best friend ...from day one.
When a family has a dog first and a baby second, there can be a lot of anxiety about the two worlds colliding. There are tons of books written by dog and parenting experts about introducing the two and there are articles galore about life with dogs and kids, but having life play out in real time can still be mentally exhausting.
While there isn't always a for-sure way to know what will happen, if ever, it's okay to be optimistic. With diligence and research on the part of the adults, there's a good chance things will work out perfectly!
For example, the Madsen family's story is exactly the sort of thing that gives us the feel-good feels!
“When we finally brought our baby home, we kept him in his car seat, and Bentley ran right over to sniff him and wag his tail excitedly. Bentley has been very, very gentle with him and seems to understand already that he is part of our pack.”
Bentley wanted to be around the baby all the time!
“Whenever he hears a cry, he runs over and begins whining to alert us that the baby needs us,” Madsen said. “We have a bassinet where he takes naps, and Bentley gets very upset when we put him in it because he's unable to directly see the baby.”
Like most new parents, the Madsen parents wanted to do a newborn photo session for their new baby. Naturally, upon Bentley's investigation of the situation, he had to be involved! Of course, Bentley is an Internet Super Star, so he's used to posing for pictures, making playful videos, and being the general center of attention.
“Bentley insisted on being right by the baby, so there was no option to take them without him — and they turned out better because of it," Kelly explained.
“I love the pictures; it's incredible to see the bond between our two kids, even if one is a little bit furrier than the other."
You can do better than imagine, and keep up with Bentley and the Madsen family on Instagram and TikTok!
