Magpies are a kind of bird that inhabits a range of environments, including grasslands, meadows, and the margins of deep woods. These birds are omnivores, eating berries, nuts, insects, and even small rodents.

They either live in tribes or flocks. Magpies constantly scan their surroundings with their tiny, black eyes. They have two dark feet, one pointing backward, and the other with three narrow toes pointing forward.

Magpies are fearless birds that don't mind spending time around people or in residential areas. They may even attempt to eat from a bird feeder while stealing food from trash cans.

Meet u/revidyks, a redditor who decided to be putting out wild bird food and is actually enjoying the mix of birds that visit the garden. A magpie landed on the OP's bedroom windowsill, and after a couple of seconds of staring at the OP, it flew off.

It became a morning routine, and each morning it was a little braver, and the OP quite enjoyed that little morning routine. The OP quickly said goodbye to relaxing mornings in bed as the magpie brought its three fledglings to the window as well.

All four birds proceeded to very loudly chatter with each other and impatiently peck at the window till the OP got up to go and see them. Read the full story for yourself below.

Magpies move in slow, deliberate steps that give the impression that they are strutting rather than simply strolling. They frequently construct enormous nests with two entrances.

The range of chirps, squeals, warbles, whistles and other sounds that magpies produce is well known. They also have a reputation for being aggressive birds because of this trait.

So the OP is definitely in for a long ride with these birds.
