All animals love to play. But there aren't many who love to play as footloose and fancy-free as bear cubs do!

As it turns out, these super cute cubs are not all that different from human children. Although they generally like to keep their games simple - playing in open areas and splashing in water - they also don't shy away from exploring new things.

Take these five adorable cubs, for example. Recently, they wandered into a random backyard and made a beeline for the children's swing set.

"This was taken in our backyard," said the person who found the playful bear family in Asheville, North Carolina. "It is supposedly a mom and five cubs, two of which are suspected to be adopted from a different litter."

Encounters like this one are not unusual in Asheville. The city is known for its significant black bear population, with 100 to 200 bears believed to be roaming among the population of around 90,000 humans.

The bears are not afraid of people, and can often be found visiting backyards. They are often on the lookout for food that has been left out, swimming pools to splash in, or even hammocks to lay in!
