Woman Tells Her MIL That She Actually Doesn't Enjoy The Type Of Food That She Makes, And It Doesnt Go Well
Some of us would never dream to tell our MIL that we didn't like her food, but it looks like it worked out for her.

We are back today with another post that we are diving into, which was posted on the Reddit page on the AITA Thread. We've gone over posts from this thread before because they are just pretty entertaining, and we love covering them here.
This thread is great for people who are looking to get unbiased opinions and advice from people on a particular situation. Although sometimes the advice we get isn't the best, it's still nice to hear other perspectives on the situation and what others would do if they were OP.
So with that being said, we're going to dive into a Reddit post that was submitted by a woman who told her MIL that she doesn't enjoy her cooking. Now, after reading the full story, it wasn't as bad as it sounds when we say that, but based on her update, the comments she received weren't the best.
We really just want to dive in and check out the full post to see what exactly happened so we can see the update that she left. So if you're interested in hearing more about what happened and seeing the full post, then keep on reading as we dive into the original post and all the best comments that were left as well.
OP starts off by saying that her husband and her come from different backgrounds and one of the harder things is eating the food made by her MIL.

She goes into some detail on what types of food combinations her MIL puts together and how her MIL invited her over for dinner.

She says that her husband asked her to suck it up and go to the dinner despite her not enjoying her MIL's food.

The advice she got from her family was to tell her and be honest because she'll be eating that food for the rest of her life.

OP then decides to call her MIL and tell her that she doesn't enjoy her food and she doesn't want to attend the dinner because of this reason.

Her husband is disappointed in her for calling her MIL and telling her that. So she really just wants to know if she's in the wrong for this or not.

She even posted an update and said that she went against what people said and was honest with her MIL anyway.

She explained the situation and how the discussion went with her MIL. This actually turned out better than we had hoped.

She said that it went well and she told her MIL that she would expect the same type of honesty with her.

It ended on a pretty good note and it looks like their relationship is back in a good spot.

People were immediately in the comments telling her that she shouldn't have expected anything else. Maybe she could have said things differently.

Everyone pretty much told her that she's TA for telling her MIL this and that she could have just said she was nauseous and that's why she couldn't eat it.

It seems that most people had the same idea of just stomaching the food because that's the nice thing and respectful thing to do.

Ultimately people were on the same page, but OP actually went against the grain and decided to do the opposite of what people were telling her. It turns out that it actually worked out in her favor, and they are now okay, and there's no problem between them.
