When it comes to the rescue and rehabilitation of abandoned and stray cats, rescue volunteers and workers know the "work" seems never-ending, and it isn't always rewarding. Sometimes, though, a special cat's story will transform lives and hearts through the work of rescue, and those stories never get old.
Belle was one such a cat, abandoned and left behind, presumably when her family moved far away from their home and left her behind, she was described as affectionate from day one by the rescue volunteers who worked with her. But she was abandoned at some point, and she did require rescuing, and it's hard to see the positives in that sadness.
Langley Animal Protection Society (LAPS) was contacted in November on behalf of a beautiful, black cat.
The cat was homeless and being generally taken care of by neighbors, but when temperatures dropped as Winter began to rage, they contacted LAPS for assistance.
LAPS Foster Kittens said:
“She was a companion until her human moved and sadly left without her. Being a trusting and affectionate girl from the day we brought her home, we believe she was loved.”
LAPSKittensA kind woman named Narod became the cat's foster mom, naming her Belle after Beauty and the Beast, and promptly cared for the sweet kitty...
Who, shortly after the New Year had a litter of purr-fectly precious, black panther kittens!
LAPSKittensLAPS said:
"Rather than being left alone outside to birth and care for 6 kittens in this cold winter weather, Belle has been given a safe place to live with her new babies."
LAPSKittensOf the six kittens, four are boys and 2 are girls and they all have equally adorable Disney themed names.
LAPSKittensLAPS described the cats as being “noisy, nursing and… ridiculously adorable.”
LAPSKittensThey also said that the kittens may be small, but they "eat like beasts."
LAPSKittens“It’s been a struggle telling these little ones apart.”
LAPSKittensAs their eyes opened, LAPS also described the kittens as "adventurous, curious, and extremely playful."
LAPSKittensAnd according to Love Meow:
"The tiny "panthers" follow mama Belle everywhere she goes, learning how to be a big kitty from their momma."
LAPS, a non profit organization, will make sure all of these purr-fectly precious kittens find the right forever homes. Thank goodness!
