"Yeah, just send me a text, and I'll call."
Just when we thought we couldn't possibly love Austin Butler any more, he's gone and made us swoon once again. The actor recently made an appearance on 'The Drew Barrymore Show' to promote his new Apple TV+ series, 'Masters of the Air.'
During the interview, Barrymore asked Butler and his co-star, Callum Turner, about their first crushes. 32-year-old Butler confessed that his was Danielle Fishel's iconic character Topanga from the 90s sitcom, 'Boy Meets World.'
"I think like Topanga on what was that show... Boy Meets World," he said. Meanwhile, Turner, who is currently rumored to be dating Dua Lipa, admitted that his first crush was none other than Jessica Rabbit.
Of course, Barrymore didn't waste the opportunity to grill the two heartthrobs on some other hot topics, such as what their "secret talents" are. "I can fall asleep very quickly," Turner said.
"I can make a rose out of a paper napkin," Butler shared proudly. Barrymore also asked what romantic "acts of love" the pair thought should make a comeback in modern times.
"I think writing love letters, little notes," Butler said. "I was going to say love letters as well, I think writing to each other is a beautiful thing," Turner agreed with his co-star.
Barrymore told the actors she was preparing to go on a blind date, and Butler immediately offered his support. When she asked what she should do if the date went bad, both actors advised her she should get out of there.
"Yeah, you go to the bathroom, and you call a friend, and you have them give you a surprise call," the 'Elvis' star said. "Can you do that?" Barrymore asked.
"Want me to do that?" Butler said. "I’ll be your friend."
"Please be my get-out-of-here call," Barrymore said to Butler, who graciously responded, "Yeah, just send me a text, and I'll call."
