Expert Explains Why Leaders Should Stop Complaining About Their Employees And Creating An Unpalatable Work Environment
Workers are not lazy, they want to work, but companies should stop making it difficult to work with.

When it comes to companies and workers, there is an eternal debate among them about "who is taking advantage of whom". Each side has its own story and its own reasons.
If you ask employers, they usually say it's hard to find good workers, those who would be entirely dedicated to their work assignments, who would give their best, and who would be happy with provided working conditions and given the opportunity to work with them and their companies. But on the other side, we have workers complaining their work assignments are too hard to realize during daily work shifts.
Employees are overwhelmed with work, so it gives them no time for their private life, considering they have to take their work home and finish it before the new working day. And when someone devotes all his free time to work, he would naturally expect to be well paid for that work and the sacrifice he has made, which is mostly not the case.
If we look at the statistics, we'll see that about 4,5milions of workers quit their jobs in November last year. It can not be a coincidence, this number telling us that we had enough of doing jobs in which our salary doesn't meet the effort we put in and that we work so we could live better, not the opposite like the employers believe.
Augie Ray, a vice president at Gartner, researched users' experience and posted it on LinkedIn. He explained why some companies should stop complaining about workers and stop blaming them for having difficulties hiring and retaining their employees.
His focus was on leaders who don't strive to improve the work conditions, workplace environment, and leaders who don't maintain good care of their employees.
A member of the Anti-Work Reddit community saw Augie's detailed research and took the opportunity to share it with his fellows. You can see Augie's whole post below.

"No one wants to work"

Do workers' salaries follow the inflation rate?

And what about employees' bonuses?

Of course, they did.

Well, the work has to be done.

Needless to say but yes.

It's workers' magic, so why not.

And even for this one, employers have their excuses.

And the last one, but equally significant.

Here is the point.

Augie's post quickly became famous and reached over 19K likes on LinkedIn and more than 130K upvotes on the Anti Work subreddit forum. Augie didn't expect to get so much attention from his post, and he decided to explain a few things over, so he can be sure that there are no misunderstandings.
He said he is completely pro-work, just thinking that working conditions should be better. However, many Reddit users shared their opinion and experience related to his first post, and here are some of their comments.
There is never a budget for raises.

"No wonder people are leaving"

Too low salaries.

Workers are always to blame.

"You just don't want to pay"

That's how it functions.

The employer is always right.

Makes sense

A job where you pay with your own money to work, it's not normal.

"Work is not life"

Augie says that people do want to work, but the companies should improve themselves by preserving the talented people they have and improving their working experience. It is not uncommon for workers to be called lazy or incompetent, so Augie wanted to point out that people like to work, but leaders should stop making it difficult for them.
