Ink on skin must perhaps be the scariest type of art out there. The stories about people's pain are legendary, and the mistakes of the ink artist last forever, or at least until another artist comes to fix things up.

At the end of the day, it's a painful process to draw a tattoo, not to mention a good one. Thus, ink artists have this uncommon, yet widespread aura of respect from different artists, as they are the people that need to work under the highest tensions, a climate that artists of different mediums just can't endure.

There are ink artists and there are ink masters, of whom Ryan Ashley DiCristina (Malarkey) is, without a doubt, and literally, the ink master. Ryan Ashley is an entrepreneur, tattoo artist, and cultural figure born in Pennsylvania.

Besides etching wonderful tattoos on people’s bodies, which is her primary gig, she also owns two antique stores in Pennsylvania. She hosted the Ink Master show, so it's difficult to argue with that, and what’s harder to argue with are her artistic skills.

Ryan won the eighth season of Ink Master and had a couple of network shows after that. Ryan's life is generally centered around being a mother now as she got married to Arlo DiCristina, who is also a tattooist.

They had a child named Atheus in May 2020. Their pregnancy photoshoots in Ink Magazine and different publications caused a serious ruckus, and Ryan's Instagram feed became populated fast with all the wonderful family photographs.
