Father Wants Advice On How To React After Finding Out On Facebook That His Daughter Eloped
Family problems are something that many of us have been through, but eloping isn't exactly a regular family problem.

We're here once again with another AITA post from Reddit where we are going to take a look at the details of the story and also look at some of the top comments left on this post. AITA posts are some of our favorite on here because we get to see all the different types of perspectives when a problem is brought up.
Seeing how others might react or handle a situation really helps to give us a more open mind, plus it helps to give us a little advice if we ever go through a similar situation as the person who posted. With all of this being said, if you've never read a post like this, we go through the original post to get all the detail of the story, then we read through the comments to choose the absolute best ones.
If you're into looking at other perspectives and reading about different situations that have happened to people then this article will be right up your alley. Let's take a look into this story of a father who doesn't know quite how to react to his daughter going off and eloping, plus see all the comments reacting to the situation.
Here's the story from the father's perspective where he explains what happened.

The father came back and gave some more information about common questions asked in the comments.

The first comment explains a scenario from their own life and also states that OP is NTA.

If the father and mother need space then they should just take the space, but the daughter isn't completely wrong either.

People came for the parents and started challenging whether or not they have a good relationship with their daughter.

I'm really not sure why they're ripping apart the parents either.

This is true that Reddit seems to hate anything to do with any situation involving a wedding.

Again, it seems that a lot of people need more information and think that this guy is hiding things.

Simple as that. They didn't do anything wrong and if they're hurt then they should take the time that they need.

The parents definitely do deserve space if they are hurt about their daughter's decision.

It's completely normal in a lot of situations, so this one should be no different.

It's hard ot know how to react when you don't know the entirety of how this family works or who they are.

She should have and probably did know that it would hurt her parents.

Hopefully everything works out for this family and they get through this difficult time.

There are tons of reasons that someone might elop ehtat aren't all negative.

Yes she definitely could've called and let them know.

She for sure could have told them sooner.

People aren't letting up.

This was OPs response to people's reactions.

You never know why someone wants to elope.

This situation clearly wasn't accepted by a lot of people because many comments were suggesting that the parents aren't as good as they seem or that there's a lack of information. We love AITA posts like this, but what do you think about this one?
