Teenage dramas, or simply teen dramas, have risen up to popularity in the 1990s, with the likes of Beverly Hills, 90210, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Dawson's Creek gracing our screens. The birth of these shows. especially Beverly Hills, which paved the way for the massive success of all the teen dramas that followed throughout the years.
These shows had been so successful because they have a common denominator: teenage emotions. In life, nothing truly compares to the highs and lows of being a teenager, and this is the time when we experienced a lot of changes in all aspects.
Naturally, that's what makes these teen dramas a delight to watch—it's kind of addicting to see people on screen experiencing the issues that you may or may not have been facing during the time you were indulging yourself with these kinds of shows. The teen drama genre has been recycled again and again over the years, but it just never gets old!
That's partly because with teens, there are endless possibilities for stories and changes to come through, and there is really no other reason that this kind of storyline would go stale in the future.
