This mom of a 19-year-old college student had to exercise restraint when a AAA truck driver stalked her daughter
OP and her husband told their daughter to call AAA to assist her when her car won't start
Her daughter used OP's account to call for help and within 15 minutes, the AAA associate showed up. OP and her husband were on the phone with their daughter for the whole five minutes the service took.

The next morning, OP's daughter woke up to messages from the AAA driver on her social media
He said he liked her "vibe" and asked if they could meet up for coffee. OP's daughter blocked this 30-year-old man on all of her socials.
OP was fuming because her daughter never told the driver her name. This meant he used OP's information from AAA to track her on social media and eventually find OP's daughter.
This creep also showed up at the campus as if to wait for OP's daughter
OP reported him to AAA and she also told her daughter to request assistance from campus security for the following week. Her daughter is also using a different car just to be safe.
Needless to say, OP is furious and urged parents to raise their kids to know better
There shouldn't be any reason not to hold stalkers like this accountable
Unfortunately, even when incidents like these get reported, the perpetrator rarely suffers any consequences...
... until it's too late
But there are still companies that take disturbing complaints like this seriously and actually hold their employees accountable
It's not just civilians you have to be wary of. Sometimes even those who are sworn to protect you are the first ones to violate your rights.
People do not report those in positions of authority like cops due to fear of retaliation
Tracking devices make it too easy to stalk people these days
As if women do not have enough to worry about
It was good thinking on OP's part to stay on the phone with her daughter the whole time
Movies like these should come with a lot of warning because they tend to normalize and romanticize behaviors like these
It's terrifying to know that you can literally do nothing wrong and still be in danger from people who think that behaving this way is okay
Hopefully, this 30-year-old man who stalked OP's daughter faced the consequences of his criminal actions
We were fed a diet of "if a boy pulls on your pigtails, it means he likes you" ever since we were little. We should teach our kids better lessons than the ones we were taught.
Hurting people, stalking them, and disrespecting their boundaries are not romantic gestures. They are the actions of people who eventually end up in jail.
