I am turning 30 this year. Yep, 30. It's not easy to write it or think about it. It's like becoming a real adult. I mean, I'm already an adult. I've been married six years and I have a child of my own... but something about turning 30 kinds stings. You grown at 30. There's no more excuses. You. are. OLD!
One thing makes it easier, though. Meme culture... and specifically, '90s meme culture. It's leaking into fashion, movies and society as a whole. All things '90s are becoming a major part of our lives again. It's awesome and it's nostalgic, and there's nothing better than that little shot of dopamine nostalgia gives you.
As I write this, I am literally watching Squints trick Wendy Peffercorn into kissing him. If you understood that reference, keep scrolling, because we have some serious '90s nostalgia here.
Having to sit basically ON the TV in order to watch it because TVs were so small!
Extra points if your parents screamed at you and told you that you'd ruin your eyes.
Wondering where your long lost sister was while watching Lindsay absolutely SLAY 'Parent Trap'.
Begging your parents to let you have a 'Kid Cuisine' for dinner.
Now I am a parent, I realise how hard it must have been for our parents to say 'no' to this easy AF options rather than cooking us stuff they knew we wouldn't eat.
