We cannot get enough of the Family Madrigal

Disney’s Encanto has been a surprise hit for the animation studio. When initially released only in theaters in November 2021, it was kind of a flop.
But then came the Disney+ streaming release in late December of 2021, and that’s when Encanto really blew up. Obviously, the issue wasn’t the movie itself, but more so in the way Disney chose to release the film during the second year of a global pandemic.
Disney fans across the world fell in love with the Madrigal family, those with special powers and without. They told us not to talk about Bruno, and naturally, everyone couldn’t get enough of Bruno (and that catchy-ass song).
It’s really no wonder why Encanto has been such a hit. The beautiful artistry in the animation, cinematography, story, and music can fill your soul and make everything that has been so difficult for so long disappear for a sweet 109 minutes while you’re absorbed into the magic that is the Madrigal family.
All that to say, it’s no surprise that Encanto has inspired artists across the world. Fans have taken to Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, and more to share their works of art in honor of their favorite Madrigal.
From an appreciation of the characters to fun mashups of different movies and shows, we’ve collected 25 stunning works of art to share with our fellow Encanto fans. Keep scrolling to enjoy!

kinschiI don't know about you, but I am loving this Disney trend of films tackling the complicated themes of generational trauma and healing. Encanto is a prime example and does such a fantastic job of navigating such a storyline.
It's something that really hits deep within a lot of people, which is why I think we've seen this blow up in the way it has. And why artists have been easily inspired by at least one of the Madrigals.
Be sure to share this with the Encanto lover in your life, I'm sure you know at least one.
